World Hydrography Day is celebrated every year on 21 June to highlight the vital role that hydrography plays in supporting safe navigation, sustainable marine development, and the protection of the marine environment. Established by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO), this global observance promotes awareness of hydrography’s contribution to the wider use of our oceans and waterways.
